The gift of humility is a tough thing to describe. It tends to not make us humble if we try to imitate it. The above description is the best and simplest I have heard. (Philippians 2:3) Living life is not without struggles. It is filled with twists and turns, uplifting and downfalls. The sole purpose for some is to gain recognition, for others it is total servitude. Humility is rarely self serving. Pride is ok but it can be corrupted. True humility cannot. In past posts the subject matter has had a great deal to do with humility. Not something that is easily faked or learned. (Ephesians 4:2) Humility is genuine when based in love. Jealousy and vanity have no place when a humble heart is within us. Colossians 3:12 says "As the chosen of God, then, the holy people whom He loves, you are to be clothed in heartfelt compassion, in generosity and humility, gentleness and patience." When all of these things are present there is no room for self. If self enters in it should be "how can I be of service? How can I help?"
I searched through the large collection of images I have stock piled and realized there are quite a few that were never scanned or posted. I am posting one of them today and one of them next week. They are Sugar Nellie images.
