Sorry I have not been around for awhile. Back on June 17 I had a fall while working in my garden. It took a week to feel the results. That Saturday I spent the day in the emergency room. The results were the loss of two units of blood into my lower abdomen and three cracked ribs. I am told it was a rare condition and I was lucky it happened this way and that I am in such good health. It could have been far worse. No operations or other procedures were needed. I am on the mend but it will take at least three months to get back to near normal. They also did an EKG and a deep scan of my heart for an anomaly the doctor saw. I suspect it will be a heart murmur that I have had all of my life. I am doing well but tire easily and have little get up and go right now. Thank you for your support and I will be back and post as soon as I am able. In the meantime, remember to Love the Details.
Love, Hugs and Blessings to all.

Oh Jim, bless you - so glad you are okay and on the mend and praying for God's healing hands to continue to keep you comforted! ReplyDeleteOh Jim, I'm so sorry to hear about your fall and your injuries! I'm glad that you are on the mend, but I also know how long it takes for ribs to heal and how little sleep you get with cracked or broken ribs. Dwayne and Bret always had lots of rib issues and I know the pain they were in. Then I cracked my own ribs and it was months before I could even lay down in bed to sleep, had to sleep in the recliner like Dwayne did when he injured his. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your healing my friend! I know Jill is taking good care of you, so I don't worry about that. I too have a heart murmur and I pray that is all the doctor is seeing!! Big hugs, Brenda

I send gentle hugs and get well wishes that you will be a patient patient and soon back to vigorous health w/out any complications. Darnell
ReplyDeleteIt must have been a terrible fall you took to crack 3 ribs! Ouch! I know it's difficult for someone as energetic as you to take it easy - but you must allow your body time to rest and recover. Sending get-well wishes for brighter days ahead while you get some required rest and relaxation. Take it easy, and take good care of yourself too!
