How true! How many times have we made statements that we wish we had not made? Have you suffered this recently? Thought spoken without the benefit of thought is trouble. Scripture says the tongue is untamable. (Ps 5:9, PS 10:7, Ps 50:19, Ps 52:4, Prov 26:28, James 1:26, James 3:6, 1 Peter 3:10) Seems like along list doesn't it? You would be surprised how many references there are in scripture. There are many that are positive but many more that are negative about the tongue. Most of our troubles are self inflicted through our voice. (Matt 15:11-18, Luke 6:45, Romans 10:10) The Lord said that it is not what we put in our mouths that corrupts but what comes out of our mouths. Guard your mouth and tongues and avoid the embarrassment it creates. This week is another of the images from MoonTear. This is a special one. Love the eyes and how they follow you around the room.
The copic colors used are:
This was a fun image to do. The hair on this kind of image is a challenge but fun to do.That is it for this week. Thank you for stopping by and hopefully commenting. May the good Lord bless and keep you safe. Remember to always "Love The Details."
Oh yes - the tongue can be so damaging - I was on the receiving end today of a very cutting comment - it hurt, but and apology was forthcoming by the speaker...
ReplyDeleteLove your colouring Jim - that is an exquisite image and you have really done her justice with your colours and colouring
Blessings

The eyes have it for sure! Once again, I love your beautiful coloring on this pretty image. Believe it or not - my hair used to be pretty close to that exact color.

I agree, ill-thought words can be more cutting than a blade. As always, your stunning coloring is the polar opposite to that and is a joy to behold.
ReplyDeleteLove and hugs xoxo
Wow your coloring on her is just outstanding!!
ReplyDeleteOh boy, this is a great post Jim and one I think most of us can relate to. I know I've been guilty of some things that come out of my mouth! So true is the statement by JFK. How many times have we said something without thought only to regret it. Sometimes it is how it comes out of our mouths as well. Thank you for this post to remind us of this. I know this is something I need to work on at times as anger can get the best of us a times. Then out pop those words that we may not have thought out and what the impact of those words might be. Yes, this is an excellent post, a though provoking post!
ReplyDeleteWow, this image is gorgeous and you have brought her to life beautifully! I can "feel" the softness of her sweater and scarf. Her skin is stunning as is her hair. Very nicely done! Hugs and Blessings, Brenda
Your Copic skills have my jaw on the floor! I've never seen anyone who can color like this. The eyes and the hair are amazing. I've yet to color hair successfully with Copics and often resort to pencils. This INCREDIBLE!!
