How many of the politicos in office profess to believe in God or Christ? It alarms me that morals go out the window on every level. Christ says we are to imitate Him in our life here on earth. That means love one another. (John 13:34; 1 Peter 1:22; Romans 13:8; 1 John 3:14; Romans 13:9) I could quickly bore you with many more passages to prove my point. Being wrapped up in things without love is what Romans 13:9 is about. Politics cannot be a part of the life of a Christian in the same way it is in government. Not every person in politics is shady, without morals or unloving. But the danger is there and the inaction on things needed to bring the moral standard to the forefront is missing because the love of the brothers and sisters that are our friends and neighbors is missing. I dislike political grandstanding. It leaves a bad taste in my mouth and makes me sick to my stomach. "In God we trust" is what this country was built on. Return to the "of the people, by the people, for the people" instead of "of the special interest by the special interest people" that currently run the government. Bring sanity back. Jesus was not a politician. He was the image of God and as such He loved unconditionally. His promises were the gold standard to be kept and fulfilled. His purpose was for all people to be saved and have eternal life. What most think as politics was simple gift. Believe and all of this is yours. It is not something that can be earned, it is not something you are owed, it is not something you can finagle or trick into being given or pay for. No politics, nothing of special interests can influence the gift of grace that is Christ, the Holy Spirit and God. The End.
This week I am sharing a just finished image of "Winter Children" from Dreams Coloring Art on ETSY. I tried to find it to provide an easy link but was unable to find it again.
The Copic colors used are;The prn in the lower right is a 0.3 Multiliner black pen. The scarf in this image was the tough part of this image to color. There was a lot of fine detail that had to be done. It required multiple breaks to prevent eye strain.
That is it for this week. May the good Lord bless and keep you. Remember to "Always Love The details."
I agree with you on the political issue. Morals have hit the skids and political figures no longer seem to care about "we the people." Love has turned into hatred and it's growing worse by the day. Just keep the faith in spite of it all. This little boy is colored beautifully and the detail on the scarf it just amazing. You are so gifted with your coloring skills of all of these amazing images and I do love the details. God bless you and yours and have a great week ahead.
ReplyDeleteLove your colouring. The state of morals in the world seems to have reached rock-bottom just now, really, really bad! Hugs, Valerie
ReplyDeleteI'm so tired of those political games, too. It seems they all think that their agenda is the only one that counts. I'll let Jesus lead me, and pray we would all understand that only God is large and in charge.
ReplyDeleteBlessings, Jim!
Politics are no different in this part of the world either... Praise God He wrote the end of the story, but in the meantime we need to stay close and hold onto Him in this depraved world - and pray like never before!
ReplyDeleteLove your colouring Jim - that is exquisite.
Blessings
Maxine
I completely agree with what you say about politics. As always, your coloring is a delightful distraction from all that mess.
ReplyDeleteLove and hugs xoxo
Bom dia, Irish
ReplyDeleteBela reflexão. Que os políticos sejam tementes a Deus, só assim teremos tranquilidade na sociedade. Lindo desenho, parabéns pelo talento, um forte abraço.
How sad that our politicians have no morals or scruples. What an important message you had written. Your coloring is AMAZING ON this child! That scarf! I can't imagine doing something like that with copics. What an outstanding job you did on this!
ReplyDeleteHello! I'm tired of politics, especially in my country - so many dishonest people... And the picture is beautiful, wonderful, amazing. Art always gives us strength. Have a good weekend.
