There are those in this world that see the beauty around them in the earth, in the life or in the heavens and are unable to understand that Yahweh Sabaoth created all that is. His beauty is far exceeds that which is seen in His creation. Even if they are slow to realize or grasp this truth He is willing to slowly, patiently bring then to realize the creation is not greater than the creator. Placing the creation above the creator of that creation is offensive to the Lord Sabaoth. It is the same as creating an idol out of some material then worshiping what our hands have made. The Lord's creation is to be admired, cared for, protected but not worshiped. Desire for the things of the world around us leads to another kind of worship, power. Power is all corrupting and another form of idolatry. There is but one power and it is our Lord. There is but one worthy of our adoration and worship, our Lord. Our tenure in this life is but a blink of the eye compared to the life we are offered in the kingdom of heaven. Idolatry is a passing mist so brief it is almost nonexistent, a distraction. Is idolatry worth giving up eternal life? I think not. Seek what is truth. Seeking after God through Jesus, His Son, ensures our place in His divine graces.

ReplyDeleteHis beauty is all around us xoxo
ReplyDeleteThe Lord's beauty is in everything if we look. It can be in the smile of a stranger, the kindness of a gentle soul helping someone, in the landscape we see out our windows....the Lord has created all this beauty and we need never to take it for granted, give Him all the glory and have faith that He is our Lord and if we trust Him/believe in Him, we will always be with him and He will have a place for us in Heaven. I so loved this post Jim, so beautiful! And speaking of beautiful....your image is just stunning. Wish you knew who's image this was. You have colored it beautifully, softly...the colors are perfect for this image. I love it! Hugs and blessings, Brenda
ReplyDeleteAgain, very thought provoking...
ReplyDeleteBrenda, the image was purchased a favorite craft store of mine in Lancaster county. It was purchased a while ago. It may not be available anymore. It's on a wood block and it was from North Woods Rubber stamps.
